A PERVERT who breached a court order by his deleting internet search history could face jail.

Peter Philp, 66, was snared in July last year on five child porn charges at Northampton Crown Court.

He was handed a 12 month suspended sentence and put on the sex offenders register.

Philp was also ordered not to delete his internet history or permit anyone else to do so.

He moved to a house in Govan and was put under surveillance by Police Scotland.

Philp's iPad was searched last December and was found to have no search history.

Glasgow Sheriff Court heard Philp claimed he hadn’t watched porn for several weeks.

Prosecutor Mark Allan said: “He provided no reason for no search history.”

Philp was ordered to hand over all his devices for further examination.

Mr Allan told the court 392 articles were deleted from the devices by Philp and he was arrested.

Philp pleaded guilty today to breaching his court order by deleting internet search history.

Sentence was deferred for reports until June by Sheriff Paul Crozier who remanded Philp in custody meantime.
