A WOMAN is accused of assaulting a female with a hammer on the head to her severe injury.

Gemma Devine, 29, is said to have attacked Catriona Dougan in Govan last June.

Devine is also alleged to have behaved in an aggressive manner and challenge Lisa Gibson to a fight at the same location.

Prosecutors claim Devine repeatedly uttered threats of violence and made offensive remarks to Miss Gibson.

Devine faces a final charge of the unlawful possession of a hammer at Govan’s Hutton Drive.

A hearing at Glasgow Sheriff Court was postponed today due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The case was dealt with administratively and a new hearing date has been set for June this year.
