THESE might be difficult times but one thing that has brought people together - in so many different countries - is art and music.

Whether it's people singing from their balconies to beautiful rainbow paintings being shared in windows.

Now, as part of our twice-weekly Home Times series with education specialists, its the turn of the city's creative experts.

Glasgow Times:

Glasgow Education Services CREATE was set up in 2016 to support schools to think differently and creatively to make sure Music, Drama, Art and Design and Dance are the heart of learning across all Glasgow's schools.

Everyone has different skills and talents and CREATE hopes to develop these in children and young people to find Glasgow’s next Lewis Capaldi, Nicola Benedetti or Mirren Mack.

Glasgow Times:

Today, let’s Get Glasgow Singing, Playing, Composing and Performing, sharing your talents and keeping people smiling.

Music brings so many benefits to everyone and what better way to learn and have fun on your own as well as with friends and families than to sing, perform, play and compose?

CREATE has given lots of ideas, links and a competition to start this campaign.

Glasgow Times:

In a time where we find ourselves having more time together as families, a time where we are having to provide home learning activities and a time where we need to keep smiling there are plenty of ideas for everyone to keep learning in a fun and enjoyable way.
