POLICE diving crews in Glasgow are continuing to search for missing Joseph Duffy - despite his family already paying tribute to their "angel'.

Joseph, 39, was last seen at around midnight just before going to bed at his home in Kirkoswald Road in Newlands in the city's South Side.

He was not in the house in the morning, at which point his family reported him missing.

Since then, a major search has been launched to find Joseph - with evidence suggesting he may have entered the River Clyde at the King George V Bridge.

Following that news, his fiancee Jennifer Abdullah paid tribute to her "soul mate" and "angel".

Hi sister, Christina Cowie, has also paid tribute saying she is 'absolutely heart broken' that Joseph is "no longer with us".

She added: "Rest easy Joe! You’re at peace now."

And Celtic Football Club have also posted their respects following his "passing".

However Police Scotland say Joseph remains a missing person and, despite claims, a body has not yet been found.

A spokeswoman said: "Police divers have been searching the area, however Joseph has not been found and remains a missing person.

"Joseph’s family has been advised of the circumstances surrounding these movements, however, enquiries will continue to try and locate Joseph.

"If anyone has any information they are asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 1411 of 11 April, 2020."
