The Police Air Unit were drafted in yesterday morning to assist with rescuing a missing person along the River Clyde.
The air squad teamed up with Lanarkshire Police and Scottish Fire and Rescue to recover the person who was stranded on a remote island.
After providing emergency first aid, the teams were able to successfully recover the person to dry land where an ambulance was called for medical help.
A Tweet from the Police Air Unit reads: "Assisted @Lanarkshire_Pol yesterday morning with a missing person search on the River Clyde.
"Helicopter crew spotted a person lying on a remote island, landed on and provided immediate first aid.
"@fire_scot quickly helped recover the person to dry land for an ambulance.
"#teamwork"
