A PET owner has appealed to the public to be on the lookout for her snake in Glasgow's South Side.
It is thought harmless Elvis 'left the building' of his Shawlands home and his disappearance has now been reported to the SSPCA.
The California King Snake lives with owner Kirsty MacFarlane in Pollokshaws Road near Stalks and Stems.
She has asked the public to get in touch with the animal rescue charity should they come across him.
She said: "He isn’t venomous, he won’t hurt you, he isn’t big enough to eat your pets or kids.
"He’s 5ft which is little for snakes.
"Please don’t hurt him if you see him. He’s a much-loved pet."
Kirsty rescued the animal from the SSPCA in December 2017. His age is unknown but snakes of this kind can live up to 20 years.
Kirsty said: "We named him Elvis because of being caught in a trap - but it suited him.
"Snakes can go missing for months and turn up again."
She added: "It’s mating season for him and he’s on the hunt for lady snakes."
If you come across Elvis, contact the SSPCA on 03000 999 999.
