A MAN has sadly died after collapsing in a city supermarket.
Emergency services received a 999 call from Tesco Silverburn after the man collapsed in the store at around 1 pm today.
Police said he was pronounced dead at the scene of the supermarket which is based on Barrhead Road in the city's South Side.
There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.
The force provided no further details about the man including his age but they said a report would be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
Tesco said that they closed their store for around one hour while emergency services were on the scene.
The supermarket giants added that they would not comment further.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: About 1.10 pm today, Tuesday, 28 April 2020, a man collapsed and died in the Tesco store in Barrhead Road in Glasgow.
"He was pronounced dead at the scene.
"The Procurator Fiscal will be informed.
"There are no suspicious circumstances."
