KNIGHTSWOOD teenager Lewis Connor has followed into the family business - after taking over a Glasgow Times paper round from his big brother.

The 14-year-old runs a thriving paper round in the G13 postcode area where he has been impressing customers with his friendly approach to delivering the latest news from your Glasgow Times.

With just two years of business experience after brother Cameron, 20, handed over the reigns, Lewis even shows his mum Gail the ropes as she joins the youngster while he delivers papers in his local area.

She said: "We tend to go out together so I know all the customers as well. They are lovely and really chatty.

"Lewis has a particular thing about all their pets - he loves to pet the animals."

Lewis combines the job with his studies at Knightswood Secondary.

Gail said: "Before we did the Glasgow Times, we delivered the Glaswegian. I have always told the boys if they want something they have to save up and get it.

She added: "Everyone knows Lewis really well and he is so chatty. He sometimes chats away to his customers for 15 minutes.

"We take the bikes out as it is a good form of exercise and even the people we don't deliver the newspaper to give us a wave because they see us all the time."

The youngster is one of the many paper boys and girls that are still operating for the Glasgow Times across the city.
