Police probe launched after ‘God bless the Pope’ is spray painted on orange hall
Police are investigating after an orange hall was vandalised in Rutherglen.
'God Bless the Pope' has been spray painted on the side of the building for the Twenty Social Club on Cathcart Road.
A Glasgow Times reader condemned the incident saying: "This type of religious bigotry is becoming more and more prevalent."
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "This was reported to us earlier today and enquiries are ongoing.
"We’d ask anyone with information to report this to us quoting incident 0874 of 1 May, or to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
