POLICE are hunting "despicable" thugs who robbed a woman of a five-figure sum of cash at knifepoint in her own home.

Three men gained entry to a home on Dumbarton Road brandishing a knife and demanded money and possessions from the 48-year-old householder.

They fled the West End property and escaped down a local cycle path stealing a sum in the tens of thousands from the woman, who was left uninjured but "very distressed".
