ROYSTON’S coronavirus response teams have been awarded over £30,000 in funding from the Scottish government to support vulnerable people in the area.
Royston Youth Action will receive £24,000 to help 50 households for 24 weeks.
Rosemount Lifelong Learning has been awarded £8,400 to provide families with activity bags to combat boredom, promote home learning and boost mental well-being.
A total of 30 individuals are also being provided with phone top-up cards to stay in touch with friends, family and support workers.
Councillor Allan Casey described the boost as "absolutely fantastic news".
He added: "True community spirit in action. Well done to everyone involved."
