Canadian fast food chain Tim Hortons is to re-open seven of their 25 UK restaurants.

The chain, which is known for its donuts, has announced that they will open to customers next Friday, May 15, on drive thru lanes.

Those opening will include Paisley, Linwood and Cumbernauld but there will be no access to restaurants.

The firms said it will also service deliveries with Deliveroo and Just Eat where available.

A spokesman for Tim Hortons said: "Recently we began working through a potential and limited reopening plan consulting with our employees and with trade bodies to ensure we do so safely and responsibly.

"On Friday 15 May, we will reopen seven of our restaurants in the U.K. in a limited capacity.

"We will only be opening our drive thru lanes for customers and we will service delivery orders in partnership with Deliveroo and Just Eat.

"There will not be any customer access inside our restaurants."
