THIS is the dramatic moment fire crews risked their lives to rescue a man from a burning building in Cambuslang.
Emergency services were called to Buchan Terrace shortly after midnight where they were met with the inferno in the top floor property.
Pictures sent to the Glasgow Times show the dramatic rescue unfold.
In one picture, a firefighter can be seen at the window of the property, just metres away from the blaze.
Brave emergency service crews managed to save the man, who was taken to hospital for treatment.
His current condition is yet unknown.
Later images show the man sitting on the ground outside of the property, being attended to by medics.
And an image taken today shows the extent of the damage on the top floor property.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "We were alerted at 12.28am on Thursday, May 7 to reports of a dwelling fire in Cambuslang.
"Operations Control mobilised three appliances to the town's Buchan Terrace, where firefighters were met by a fire within a top floor flat.
"Firefighters helped lead one male casualty to safety and provided him with oxygen therapy."
He added: "The casualty was thereafter passed into the care of paramedics and taken to Hairmyres Hospital for further treatment.
"Crews left the scene after extinguishing the fire and working to make the area safe."
Police Scotland say the fire is not being treated as suspicious.
