A woman, 40, has been hospitalised after an emergency rescue was mobilised on Friday night.

Emergency services were rushed to Carmichael Place on just before 9pm. 

Police confirmed they were rushed to the scene after reports of a concern for a person in the area. 

According to reports, a Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) vehicle was seen towing a RIB boat to the scene near the White Cart Water. 

The 40-year-old woman was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

The SFRS confirmed to the Glasgow Times they were in attendance to assist the police incident. 

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "We received a report of concern for a person on Carmichael Place, Glasgow, around 8.40pm on Friday, May 8, 2020.

"A 40-year-old woman was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for assessment."
