A man, 35, suffered serious injuries after a disturbance involving a "bladed weapon" took place in Motherwell on Friday afternoon.
Specialised units were rushed to McClurg Court around 6.10pm where the 35-year-old had suffered serious injuries to his hand.
A police helicopter was sent to scene of the disturbance, as officers attended alongside the dog unit and a firearms unit.

The 35-year-old man was taken to Wishaw General Hospital for treatment.
A man, 30, was arrested in connection with the incident.
The 30-year-old man was traced by officers on Airbles Farm Road nearby the scene of the incident.
He was taken to Monklands Hospital for treatment.
We're appealing for witnesses after a serious assault took place in Motherwell.

Detective Constable Jacqui McCann, of Wishaw CID, said: "We're appealing to anyone who witnessed this or has any information relating to this incident to contact us."
