DANCERS in Glasgow have spoken of their heartbreak after a much loved friend died suddenly aged just 25.

Miriam Choudry Singh was a popular face in the city having worked in Glasgow’s nightclubs.

Her friends were devastated when she died at the beginning of this month, leaving behind two young children.

Now a group of Miriam’s friends are raising money for the son and daughter left behind following her sudden death.

Miriam’s friend, who organised the fundraiser, said: “Apart from working in the night clubs, Miriam was a mother, and a very good and loving one at that.

“She absolutely doted on her daughter, who was the apple of her eye, and when her little boy came along, well, that was her complete.

“It’s heartbreaking that the kids won’t get to grow up with their mother and I hope they can remember the good times as I’m sure we all want to.”

Miriam had worked in several Glasgow nightclubs.

Her friends described her as the “life and soul of a party” but also with a softer side that saw her always putting other people first.

The 25-year-old absolutely doted on her nine-year-old daughter and three-year-old son.

Her friend added: “Most of us knew Miriam from the Glasgow nightlife, however that nightlife didn’t just span Glasgow.

“In fact, Miriam had worked in most of the clubs in Scotland at some point.

“She had an absolute love and zest for life, loved meeting new people and was always the life and soul of a party.

“She had such a good heart, always asking about others and trying to help whenever they were down and cheer them up.

“She didn’t take herself too seriously and was very laid back.”

The group of 12 friends are now trying to raise money to help Miriam’s children through this difficult time.
