MORE than £100,000 worth of drugs have been seized by cops following a raid in Maryhill. 

Officers found a large quantity of Etizolan tablets from an address on Tresta Road at around 1pm yesterday. 

Around £130,000 worth of the deadly pills, also known as Blue Plague or Fake Valium, were recovered in the raid.

A 33-year-old man and woman, 34, have been arrested and charged in connection with drug offences. They are due to appear in Glasgow Sheriff Court today. 

Detective Chief Inspector, John Morrison, of Greater Glasgow Division, said: “This was a significant recovery and I want to reassure the people of Glasgow that we continue to use every tool at our disposal to remove these illegal substances from the community.

“Our work often relies on the support of the public, so anyone with any information or concerns about drug misuse, are asked to contact us.”
