THE CITY'S main motorway was closed down by the emergency services on Wednesday night after a 999 call was made over concerns for a teenage girl.
Police said the 19-year-old was taken to the hospital following the incident which happened after 10 pm.
The M8 at junction 18 was closed for under one hour as a result of the incident. Traffic was diverted off the motorway to West Graham Street.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "We were called around 10.05 pm on Wednesday, May 13 to a report of a concern for a person on a bridge at junction 18 of the M8 in Glasgow.
"A 19-year-old woman was taken by the Scottish Ambulance Service to hospital for assessment.
"The westbound carriageway was closed for a short time and re-opened at 10.50 pm."
