A LARGE military plane has been spotted circling Glasgow during the Covid-19 lockdown again. 

The unmarked grey aircraft was seen over Glasgow Airport and in various locations around the city. 

Many locals took to social media to report sightings this afternoon with one writing: "A big dark grey military plane just flew over Glasgow quite low...whats that all about?"

It's the third time in as many weeks the plane has been spotted over the city and the surrounding areas. 

But, it's nothing to be worried about.

The C-17 Globemaster aircraft launched from RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire and was carrying out a training mission. 

It is currently en route back down south. 

RAF Brize Norton tweeted: "Today, our C-17 Globemaster aircraft will be operating in the vicinity of Jersey and Glasgow, whilst engaged in essential training.

"These are necessary, routine, flights & not connected with RAF support to the UK's fight against Coronavirus."
