CASTLEMILK residents will have access to a new temporary post office service after the previous operator resigned.
The current operator is set to temporarily close on Thursday, May 21 at 5.30pm.
The Post Office, however, have plans to restore the service from June.
The branch at M26-26A Castlemilk Arcade, Dougrie Drive, Glasgow, G45 9AA is due to re-open with a temporary postmaster from Wednesday, June 3 at 9am.
There will be revised opening hours for Castlemilk, Monday to Friday, 9am to 1pm and 2 to 5.30pm, and Saturday 9am to 12.30pm.
A spokesman for Post Office said: “We apologise for any inconvenience caused by the temporary closure and we are pleased that we will be quickly be able to restore service.”
