Six fire engines were rushed to Gallowgate on Saturday afternoon after reports of a fire in a tenement building.
Emergency services cordoned off Gallowgate at its junction with Moir Street after the alarm was raised at 5.22pm.
Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) is still in attendance at the house fire.
A spokeswoman for the SFRS told the Glasgow Times: "We were alerted at 5.22pm on Saturday, May 16 to a dwelling fire at Gallowgate, Glasgow.
"Operations Control mobilised six appliances to the scene where crews remain in attendance as they work to extinguish the fire."
