WEST END residents have called in the cops over new cyclists using pavements.

The force said they have received complaints about cyclists in the Dowanhill area adding that many may have taken up the form of exercise since lockdown. 

They urged the amateur cyclists to consider using the city's cycle lanes.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "We have had a few complaints about cycling on pavements in Dowanhill, might be people who've taken up cycling since lockdown and aren't comfortable on road.

"For safe cycle routes and advice ayecycleglasgow.org.uk is a great resource and Glasgow City Council has new cycle lanes to try."
