A SOUTHSIDE yoga studio is hoping Glasgow Times readers will support its live-streamed charity raffle tonight to raise funds for the NHS.
The team at Hot Yoga Glasgow, who recently raised £800 for Glasgow SE Foodbank, are staging the event at 7.30pm on their Facebook page.
Assistant manager Sarah Runnstrom said: “We wanted to use our platform to give something back to our NHS frontline staff, who are doing vital work in the fight against COVID-19.
“We have already had lots of generous raffle prize donations from some amazing local businesses.”
The studio has moved its classes – which include three different styles of yoga and normally take place in 40-degree heat – online.
Co-founders Linda and Louis Stewart feared for the future of their business in the light of the coronavirus outbreak but say demand for livestreamed sessions has been high.
“Live stream classes are really powerful for people at the moment,” said Linda. “It’s about knowing there are other people practising with you. That interaction is so important.”
