A DERELICT property close to Great Western Road could be transformed into affordable housing.
The site at Burnbank Gardens is currently occupied by a Glasgow City Council hostel, however has been lying empty for four years.
Anderson Bell Christie Architects are proposing to demolish the building to make way for 46 units.
The completed flats would be divided evenly between residents of Queens Cross Housing Association and Glasgow West Housing Association.
Approximately 60 per cent of the funding for the project could come from the Scottish Government's Affordable Housing Supply Programme - which is managed by Glasgow City Council.
The design of the project has been developed to consider all ages with an emphasis on elderly residents.
