DO we need more housing in one of the most densely populated areas in Glasgow (More homes could ‘complete the missing corner’ of Govanhill bus depot site, Wednesday)?

Govanhill health centre and dental practice are already at capacity, and cannot take new patients. I’d imagine the doctors practices would be similar.

EVERY SPFL club will adopt the same approach with out-of-contract players leaving and loan players returning to their parent club (Rangers keeper Wes Foderingham in emotional farewell as he prepares to exit Ibrox this summer, Wednesday).

Some may offer very short term new contracts but, by and large, the emphasis will be on reducing the payroll cost.

With the return to the pitch, with or without the paying customer – a complete unknown at the moment – cash reserves will determine what clubs live or die. A very stressful situation indeed.

The Scottish Government’s complete failure to even bother with any sort of virus testing regime will result in Scotland being one of the last nations to return to playing football.

MY landlord is the West of Scotland Housing Association, we pay a monthly charge for cleaning the close (‘It smells like a public toilet’: Anger over lockdown close cleaning lapses, Wednesday).

The close has not been cleaned for about eight weeks, the association says no refund will be made although charges will be reduced next year – I’ll believe that when I see it!

My wife has cleaned the banisters a number of times up to our door, the wipes were black when disposed of.

HERE’S an idea ... clean it yourself? We are in a global viral pandemic! Honestly, people are so lazy.

THE residents of the West End will need to be vigilant and hope they can scare them off – the police presence isn’t likely to put off the thieves (Car thieves target West End, Glasgow Times online).

In fact, it’s probably a big reason to why they are targeting the area so much – no police presence.
