A frontline health worker from Parkhouse has won £5000 in Clyde 1's £5 Minute Questions.

Alana Geddes was helped by her parents and four of her sisters as she completed all 10 questions correctly within a minute.

Her dad came to the rescue with the final answer regarding the Italian town of Ravello to secure the £5000.

It's the first time the staff nurse entered the challenge although her parents play along every day.

Alana said: “We were all cheering when we answered the final question although I didn’t know if we had any wrong and it was amazing when George told us all ten answers were correct.

“It is a brilliant boost just now and I decided straightaway that I wanted to share the money with all my sisters and they are delighted.”

Bowie@Breakfast host, George Bowie, couldn’t have been more pleased to see Alana win Clyde 1’s £5K Minute.

He said: “It was brilliant to have our first winner in three months and Alana is the first to have answered all ten questions correctly during lockdown, so it is hopefully a great start to the bank holiday weekend for her.

“As a dad of three, I can’t imagine life as a dad of eight daughters, but it shows how close they must be for Alana to decide to generously share her winnings with them.”
