A NEW tarmac service yard could be built on derelict land in Queenslie if city planners approve.

Scotbark have asked for permission to use the land for storage and distribution in the industrial estate on Blairtummock Road.

The plans would also mean a yard would be built and fencing erected.

Opening hours for the operation would be Monday to Friday, 24 hours while on a Saturday and Sunday, it would be 8 am to 8pm.

The identified site currently has no use and is derelict land.

A decision is expected on the planning application in July.
