POLICE Scotland's air support unit and canine force were drafted on Wednesday to find three men who allegedly fled the scene of a Newmains car crash.
Police received a report of a one-car crash on Morningside Road at around 10.25am. The force said that the car came off the road.
The multi-unit operation allowed the force to trace three men who are accused of fleeing the scene and abandoning the crashed car.
A male driver, 24, has been charged in connection with road traffic offences.
A report is due to be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
