Merchant City street to remain closed amid gas leak fears
A Merchant City street is to remain closed "for some time" after it was cordoned off by police last night.
It was initially thought there was a gas leak on the Cochrane Street, however police have confirmed it was in relation to a rupture in the pavement.
Utility companies are still at the scene doing examinations.
Cochrane Street will remain closed until further notice.
