A cycle path fight involving ten people has left two people requiring hospital treatment.
At around 10.20pm yesterday evening, a group of up to eight men approached two others on a cycle path near Nether Johnstone Small Holdings on Milliken Road.
One of the cyclists was rushed to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley a number of injuries including stab wounds.
The other cyclist was taken to the same hospital having suffered from facial injuries.
Detective Inspector Ian Ross of Renfrewshire CID said: "This attack appears to have been unprovoked and we are carrying out extensive enquiries to identify those responsible.
"Anyone who was in the area on Wednesday evening and may have seen or heard a disturbance or who has any other information is urged to come forward."
