A DRUG dealer was snared with 45 bags of heroin and a knife in his car.

Shaun Cumming, 30, was stopped by police at 4am on Westerhouse Road, Easterhouse in February this year.

Glasgow Sheriff Court heard a seven inch “kitchen knife with a red handle and red blade” was found in a door pocket.

During a search of the vehicle and of Cumming police recovered 45 bags of heroin of varying sizes weighing 89.96 grams.

Prosecutor Mark Allan gave the individual totals which amounted £1820 overall.

Cumming, who was on bail for separate matters, was arrested and charged before being held in custody.

He pleaded guilty on Thursday to the unlawful possession of a knife and supplying heroin.

His lawyer Ian Sievwright will make his plea in mitigation at the sentencing next month.

Sheriff Paul Crozier called for background reports on Cumming who was remanded in custody meantime.
