BRENDAN RODGERS is reportedly hoping to form a Celtic reunion with Arsenal’s Kieran Tierney.

Scotland international Tierney has played just five times for the Gunners since his switch to the Emirates last summer due a number of injuries.

And now his former manager Rodgers is plotting a swoop to bring him to Leicester City as a possible replacement for Ben Chilwell.

The Transfer Window Podcast say Rodgers will aim to bring Tierney to the King Power Stadium with Chilwell expected to join Chelsea in a £85million move.

Speaking after the 22-year-old made the switch to London, Rodgers said: “Kieran was absolutely brilliant for me during my time at Celtic – a great boy who was just so committed to playing for Celtic.

“He gave everything in training and did it with a real winning mentality.

“Every time he played for Celtic he poured absolutely everything into the shirt.

“But not too dissimilar to myself, he felt that the next professional challenge lay elsewhere.”

Tierney made 127 appearances under Rodgers during his three seasons with the senior setup at Celtic.
