GREENOCK'S new The Range store finally opened yesterday to a frenzy of excitement.
Shoppers queued up ahead of trading beginning at 2pm, ensuring a busy first day.
The big name home, leisure and garden store has carried out an extensive refit at its West Shaw Street premises, formerly occupied by Homebase.
The store had been due to open on Good Friday before the coronavirus outbreak led to tight lockdown restrictions, which were recently eased by the government.
It brings a major employment boost to the town, creating around 80 jobs.
