A 37-year-old man has been arrested in connection to a hit and run murder bid.
Emergency services were rushed to Anderson Gardens, Blantyre at around 7.40am on Friday, 29 May.
A 47-year-old victim was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he was treated for life-threatening injuries.
The car is believed to have made off in the direction of Glasgow Road.
The force said that the incident was "deliberate".
The man arrested in connection to the crime is due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court this Friday.
A full report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
