VIOLENT thugs knocked a man unconscious to rob him in broad daylight in the city's Govanhill.
Cops have launched a manhunt for the robbers who targeted their 36-year-old victim on Queen Mary Avenue on Thursday afternoon at 3.55 pm.
The victim, who was driving a Vauxhall Astra Convertible, was knocked unconscious and sustained injuries to his face. He was robbed of his mobile phone and a small sum of cash.
He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital to be checked over.
Police are appealing for anyone with information or who might have seen anything in the area at the time to come forward.
Constable Mhairi Gunn, from the Community Investigation Unit, said: “The man believes he was attacked by a group and we are appealing for anyone who may have seen anything in the area at the time, ho has not already spoken to us to come forward.
“Enquiries in and around the area are ongoing. The area contains a number of houses and we are asking anyone who may be able to assist to get in touch.”
