The victim - who does not want to be named - took to social media to urge neighbours to look out for her stolen motor.

She wrote: "I can’t actually believe I’m writing this but after Alan’s van was targeted on 31st March, our front door tried and my car was opened but nothing taken, we’ve woken this morning to my car gone."

Her daughter's pram was in the boot of the car when it was taken.

She added: "We’ve contacted the police but if anyone sees a car matching mine that looks out of place please let me know and I can share the info with the police."
