A WOMAN has been taken to the hospital after a water rescue in North Lanarkshire.
Police were called to the scene at the Walton Burn near Castlecary on Thursday afternoon.
The force said the woman was rescued from the water and taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
Reports elsewhere said a teenage girl, 13, was rescued but the force did not provide any further details.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Around 3:40 pm on Thursday, June 11, police were made aware of female falling into water at Walton Burn, near Castlecary.
"Emergency services attended and the female was recovered and taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital where she will be treated for her injuries."
