A bylaw passed in 2008 banned drinking in outdoor public places across the entirety of Glasgow, with this lone exemption.
Shown in purple on a map attached to the detail of the bylaw, the area includes the Kelvin Walkway and passes through Millichen Farm to the north and Blackhill Farm to the east.
Uncovered by Regius Professor of Law at Glasgow University, James Chalmers, the excluded zone includes the border of Glasgow and neighbouring local authority East Dunbartonshire.
