PASSENGERS at major Glasgow train stations will be offered free face coverings from today.
Scotrail staff will hand out the masks at Glasgow Central and Glasgow Queen Street on the day coverings become compulsory on public transport.
The operator say they will offer the free masks for a "limited time period only" and will also be available on request from other stations in and around the city.
From tomorrow, you must wear a face covering when travelling on our services, and in public areas at stations.

You must keep it on for the entire journey, take it off without touching the front, dispose of it properly (if appropriate) and then sanitise/wash your hands.
Scotrail say: "From Monday 22 June, you must cover your face at all stages of your journey with Scotrail, including in stations and on trains.
"To support you through this change, we will make single-use face coverings available from our busiest stations for a limited period of time."
The face masks will be distributed at 'peaks times' at Central and Queen Street stations, as follows:
- 7am - 9.30am
- 3.30pm - 6pm
The stations offering face coverings on request in Glasgow and the surrounding area are:
- Airdrie
- Argyle Street
- Dalmuir
- Exhibition Centre
- Hyndland
- Johnstone
- Motherwell
- Paisley Gilmour Street
