A BRAVE woman fought off a thieving duo who tried to grab her handbag and phone while she was getting off a train near Glasgow.
The victim was at Stepps Station on Tuesday afternoon when she was targeted.
The Glasgow Times understands that the men were sitting on the steps at the station before they followed her when she got off the train.

An eyewitness said: "She was the last person off and they were either side going for her phone in one hand and a bag on the opposite shoulder.
"She managed to scare them off but the next person might not be so lucky."
Transport cops are now investigating the botched mugging.
A spokesman said: "British Transport Police is currently investigating an attempted theft at Stepps station.
"The incident is reported to have occurred at around 5.15 pm on June 23.
"Two men are reported to have tried taking a woman’s bag but left the scene when the victim was alerted by a witness.
"Enquiries into the incident are ongoing."
