Hairdressers have been given a provisional re-opening date of July 15.
City centre salon owner Taylor Ferguson shared his delight about the announcement, saying staff are ready to accept bookings.
He said: "The salon got the green light to reopen on Wednesday, July 15.
"There was a frisson of a cheer in the Scottish Parliament when the news was announced. And the Prime Minister said getting a haircut is one of the three things he's most looking forward too in the easing of lockdown restrictions.
"Folks, we'll be reopening with all the necessary hygiene procedures in place."
