Rangers are eyeing up a potential move for Anderlecht striker Kemar Roofe if they lose Alfredo Morelos this summer.

Gers were keen on Roofe last season and attempted to sign him from Leeds Utd before he opted to move to Belgium. And it has now been reported that they could reignite their interest.

Any potential move for Roofe would depend on Morelos's future, according to the Scottish Sun, with clubs around Europe continuing to monitor the Colombian's progress. We told recently how cash-rich Qatar outfit Al-Duhail were linked with a £15m interest in El Buffalo, though no bid has yet been lodged.

Bordeaux and AC Milan have also both been linked with Morelos in the past.

Roofe would seem the ideal fit for the Light Blues in Morelos's stead having scored seven goals for Anderlecht in 16 games last season. He was also prolific at Elland Road before the switch.

Manager Steven Gerrard has already revealed plans to "strike" in the transfer market in a bid to halt Celtic's 10 in a row push and Gers have already signed Ianis Hagi, Calvin Bassey and Jon McLaughlin.
