A SUSPECT is accused of striking a man to the ground with his car to his severe injury.

Alistair Dickson, 35, allegedly assaulted Benjamin Crawford in the city’s Germiston area in June 2018.

Prosecutors claim Mr Crawford was struck on the body by Dickson’s Ford Fiesta.

It is also said that Dickson drove the vehicle dangerously at excessive speeds on the same date and location on Darnick Street.

Dickson is claimed to have failed to maintain a safe stopping and braking distance, repeatedly accelerate and brake sharply.

It is stated the Dickson’s alleged action were to the danger of all road users.

Dickson is also said to have committed both offences while on bail.

A hearing at Glasgow Sheriff Court was postponed on Thursday due to the coronavirus outbreak.
