AN ABUSIVE woman who tried to avoid arrest by swinging her arms and throwing herself to the ground has been fined £210 on Friday.

Jade Kerr, 20, was snared after “acting in an abusive manner” towards Scott McCall and Elizabeth Mungai in Glasgow’s Dennistoun area in February this year.

Glasgow Sheriff Court heard a 999 call was made after reports of a disturbance.

Officers who arrived at the scene informed Kerr that she would be under arrest.

Prosecutor Linda McCaffer said: “She began swinging her arms away from the officers and dropped her body to the ground.

“There after she resisted arrest.”

She pleaded guilty by letter on Friday to acting in a threatening or abusive manner.

Sheriff Daniel Kelly initially imposed a £300 fine which was reduced to £210 due to her early guilty plea.
