There have been no new reported deaths of people who tested positive for Covid-19 for the second consecutive day. 

Scotland's death toll remains at 2842. 

The Greater Glasgow area has seen just four new confirmed cases, reaching a total of 4848. 

Overall in Scotland, 15 new cases of the novel coronavirus were recorded taking the total to 18,228. 

Of the patients who tested positive, 456 were in hospital last night. 16 patients with confirmed or suspected Covid-19 were in intensive care.

In Glasgow, the number of hospitalised patients dropped by seven overnight. 

While weekend figures can be artificially low due to a drop in registering deaths, yesterday was the first day no deaths were recorded on a weekday in three months. 

Nicola Sturgeon praised the "sacrifices" made by everyone. 

From Monday, retailers with street access will be allowed to reopen with social distancing measures in place. 

Ms Sturgeon said a decision would be taken on whether face coverings would be mandatory in shops within the next week.
