A man, 28, was found dead by police officers at a flat in Wishaw on Saturday.
Emergency services raced to the scene in Crindledyke Crescent where they discovered the body of the 28-year-old.
Officers confirmed a 29-year-old man had been arrested and charged in connection with the death.

He will appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court today.
A police spokeswoman said: "Police Scotland can confirm that a 29-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of a 28-year-old man at a flat in Crindledyke Crescent, Wishaw, on Saturday, 27 June, 2020.
"The man is due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Monday, 29 June, 2020."
