A man has been rushed to hospital after a single-vehicle road crash along the M8.
Emergency services were rushed to the scene at 6.35am this morning, after the 29-year-old crashed at Junction 12 at the Cumbernauld Road interchange.
His current condition is unknown.
The road was closed off for a total of two hours.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "We were called around 6.35am this morning to a report of a crash on the M8 near Junction 12, eastbound, involving a car.
"The driver, a 29-year-old man, has been taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary by the Scottish Ambulance Service."
