COPS have warned people about buying puppies online after an increase in fraud cases.
East Dunbartonshire officers said they had seen an increase of incidents.
A force spokesman said: “In recent weeks there has been an increase of online frauds in relation to buying a dog.
“If you are considering getting a puppy this year, make sure you don’t become a victim of fraud.
“Always check if the seller is reliable prior to paying a deposit and use reliable websites.”
