A MAN is accused of attempting to murder another man in a Rutherglen car park.
Ryan Wilson, 31, is said to have attacked Kevin Hammond at The Braes in Rutherglen, South Lanarkshire, on December 8. 2019.
Wilson allegedly pushed Mr Hammond to the body before repeatedly punching him on the head as he lay on the the ground, and attempted to murder him.
Wilson, and co-accused Jordan Wilson, 25, are also accused of assaulting James Hammond at the car park at The Braes on the same day.
James Hammond was allegedly pushed and repeatedly punched on the head and body.
He is also said to have been struck on the head and body with glasses to his severe injury and permanent disfigurement.
Ryan Wilson is also accused of assaulting Constable Steven McDonald at The Braes. by head butting him.
The pair pleaded not guilty on Monday at the High Court in Glasgow and a special defence of self-defence was lodged for both men.
A further preliminary hearing was set for September by Judge Lord Mulholland.
Ryan Wilson was remanded in custody, while Jordan Wilson, of the city’s Cambuslang was granted bail meantime.
