A CITY sunbed chain has asked customers to back a petition calling on the Government to allow salons and tattoo parlours to open at the same time as hairdressers.
Hot! Salon, who are based in several city locations including Drumoyne, Govanhill, and Gallowgate, sent an e-mail to its customers today urging them to back the petition.
In a statement, Hot! Salon said: "We have many salons across Scotland and employ 200 plus loyal staff but we are banned from reopening on July 15 when hairdressers and barbers can reopen and we have not received a confirmed reopening date.
"We think that’s unfair. We can reopen and maintain social distancing and ensure our staff and customers safety with enhanced sanitation procedures - it’s time for the government to re-think and help us to get back to business."
